When the weather — and the world — feel unpredictable, our practices can steady us.

We’re seeing it outside here in Ashtabula County — 50+ degrees one day, snow and 33° the next, back into the 40’s by midweek. The shifts are constant. The ground thaws and refreezes. The skies change quickly. The rhythm feels unsettled.

And if we’re honest, it isn’t just the weather.

Many of us wake up unsure what the news will bring, what the next headline will be, or what to expect from the larger world around us. There’s a subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) sense of instability in the air.

When external conditions feel volatile, internal steadiness becomes essential.

This is where consistent practice becomes powerful.

Not rigid discipline.
Not perfection.
But rhythm.

Something dependable.
A place to land when everything else keeps changing.

Why Balance Matters

At the studio, our weekly offerings are intentionally balanced because late winter asks for both grounding and warmth.

Cooling, yin-based practices like Reclaiming Wholeness and Restorative Yoga offer deep nourishment for the nervous system. They soften the edges. They allow the body to settle.

Warming, yang practices like Slow Flow and Kundalini Yoga & Meditation build heat, move stagnation, and rekindle momentum when energy feels stuck.

Some days you need grounding.
Some days you need heat.

The steadiness comes from showing up — not from doing it perfectly.

Consistency in your practice creates stability in your life. Even when the forecast changes. Even when the headlines shift.

Upcoming Gatherings

Aromatherapy Essentials

There are still a few spots open in our upcoming Aromatherapy Essentials workshop. We’ll explore essential oils that support respiratory ease, immune health, and nervous system regulation — especially helpful during fluctuating temperatures and barometric pressure changes.

Each participant creates a practical make & take blend and receives a recap handout to continue the work at home.

Healing Hum Sound Immersion

This month’s Healing Hum is sold out. We may be able to accommodate a few additional participants seated in chairs — reach out if you’d like to be considered.

Looking Ahead to March

March 14 — Forest Bathing at Lampson Reservoir Park, followed by a Cacao Ritual at Wall Street Coffee Co.

Forest Bathing offers a grounded way to meet early spring exactly as it is — mud, melt, movement and all. Stepping into nature during transitional seasons helps recalibrate both body and mind.

March 21 — The Stone Series

Our first gathering in this new exploration begins in March, opening a practical and tangible layer within our Holistic Wellness offerings.

Registration is open for both experiences.

And quietly… March will also bring something special for those who have been considering deeper, one-on-one work. More on that soon.

For now, may you find steadiness in your breath, warmth in your movement, and restoration in your pauses.

When you’re looking for yoga and holistic wellness offerings in Ashtabula County that support nervous system regulation and seasonal balance, our weekly classes and workshops are designed with this in mind.

With light and love 🤍
