Practicing Peace as We Enter a New Season | Yoga and Mindfulness in Ashtabula County
Shanti Yoga Love | FEB 27
Before you move on with your day, pause for a moment.
Inhale slowly.
Exhale a little longer.
Recently, during the monks’ peace walk and meditation, we were given a simple and powerful blessing — a reminder that peace isn’t something we attend once.
It’s something we practice.
And practice doesn’t require perfection. It requires repetition. Intention. Willingness to return.
As one season closes and another begins, this feels especially important. The light changes. The ground softens. Our nervous systems adjust.
Peace becomes less of an idea — and more of a daily discipline.
Yoga remains one of the most accessible ways to regulate the nervous system and steady the mind.
Each class offers space to:
Warm the body without urgency
Build strength without force
Breathe without rushing
Land gently in the present moment
If you’ve been meaning to return to your mat, consider this your invitation. Not because you “should.” But because your body and nervous system deserve steadiness.
Another way to continue the practice at home is through intentional aromatherapy.
Certain essential oil combinations offer grounding and gentle uplift at the same time:
Lavender softens the edges and signals safety.
Frankincense steadies the breath and centers the mind.
Citrus oils (like orange, bergamot, or grapefruit) add brightness without overstimulation.
Together, they create a calming and clarifying blend that supports emotional regulation while maintaining vitality.
Peace blends are available in-studio in multiple sizes, including pre-diluted roll-on versions for easy everyday support. Seasonal releases and special offerings are shared first with our email community.
Our Holistic Wellness experiences continue with the first installment of The Stone Series, beginning with Bloodstone.
Bloodstone carries themes of courage, vitality, resilience, and steady strength — anchoring qualities as we move through seasonal transitions.
Each gathering includes guided exploration and a make-and-take project so you leave with both knowledge and something tangible to continue your practice at home.
These workshops are designed to be experiential — not just informational — offering space to learn, create, and connect.
For those seeking more individualized care, private sessions offer a focused container for deeper regulation and restoration.
Private experiences may include:
Reiki
Chakra balancing
Aromatherapy support
Private yoga instruction
Private meditation guidance
Sound immersion (often called a sound bath)
Some clients choose one-on-one support for personal recalibration. Others gather a small group of friends for an in-home yoga, meditation, or sound immersion experience, creating intentional space within the comfort of their own environment.
These private gatherings have become a meaningful way for individuals and small groups throughout Jefferson, Austinburg, Roaming Shores, Harpersfield Township, and surrounding Ashtabula County communities to bring restorative practices into their homes.
Whether held in the studio or as an off-site experience in your home or workplace, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are — supporting energetic balance, nervous system reset, or a thoughtfully curated wellness gathering.
Availability and seasonal offerings are shared through the monthly newsletter.
As we continue forward, I return often to the monks’ blessing:
May all beings be free from resentment & conflict.
May all beings be free from physical suffering.
May all beings be free from mental suffering.
May all minds and bodies be at peace.
However you choose to practice — through movement, breath, scent, stone, stillness, or shared community — you are welcome here.
With light and love ❤️
Leah
