Somatic Dance

Somatic Dance is a trauma-informed movement practice rooted in Dancing Mindfulnessâ„¢ (developed by Dr. Jamie Marich). Guided with care and choice, participants explore mindfulness through intuitive movement, breath, sound, and embodied awareness. This practice supports nervous system regulation, creative expression, and presence, offering an accessible alternative to traditional seated meditation.

This class is offered through a trauma-informed lens and is intended as a supportive, educational experience—not a substitute for medical or mental health care. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, take breaks as needed, and opt out of any movement or invitation at any time.
